15 month appointment

Paige had her 15 month check up today!

Good News:

• Ears look good
• Only cried for a few seconds after 3 vaccinations
• Showed Dr. Dessa how smart she looks reading a book
• Managed to not poop DURING the visit.
• Got all of our daycare paperwork squared away
• Dr. Dessa liked the picture we gave her
• She is 30 inches tall, right on track for her

Bad News:

• Heart murmur still present. Dr. Dessa says it's an innocent murmur, but of course it doesn't feel that way to a mommy.
• She has lost some weight....she is down almost 2 pounds since her last illness (just a month ago). She was already on the "we'll give it another month" plan to see if she would beef up so its very upsetting that she's moved the other direction. The kid has been eating us out of house and home! I just don't get it.
• She goes back in a month to weigh in. If she isn't beefed-up by then Dr. Dessa says we have lots more pokes coming.....
