Winter Welcome....

.....Whether (or should I say "weather") we like it or not...

Sigh.

Okay, so...I don't know where the scrapers are, I could only find one mitten for myself this morning and IT had a hole in it, I still have two pair of flip flops in the entryway....I mean for crying out LOUD, we still have Paige's pool inflated in the back yard!

Okay, so...that last item is actually kind of embarrassing.

Regardless of what Mike and I thought of the snow. Paige seemed pretty pleased.

No. I take that back.

I did hear her say "snow....icky"....

But that was before she realized that snow on the ground=you get to wear your princess boots!

Actually, Paige's reaction to seeing snow this morning was pretty precious.

I got her out of bed and walked her into our bathroom to look out the window. She looked outside at the front yard, our pumpkins, our scarecrow, my boulevard garden, the blanketed cars...you get the idea.

Paige: "Snow....Ground...."

Me: "Uh-huh, the snow is on the ground"

Paige: "Snow....Mommy's car..."

Me: "Yep. There's snow on Mommy's car too."

Paige: (looking at the sedum near the street) "Bumblebees fly away?"

Me: "Yep. Snow is on the flowers and the bumblebees had to fly away."

Paige: "Bumblebees flyin'"

Me: "Seriously? HOW did you get so smart and cute?"

Paige: (says nothing but a big green snot starts running out of her nose).

She was pretty excited to head out so we got her bundled up before she was even out of her jammies. She was....impatient....getting all of her winter gear on. She marched in her boots while we looked for a hat, mittens etc. saying "okay. okay. okay. okay. okay? okay. okay. okay..." until we finally stepped out side.

(sweet action shot eh?)





(Sweet loaf of bread eh? I borrowed my mom's bread machine and have been wearing the thing out. Sound like we're going to need some nice toasty bread this weekend....)
