Took Paige in to urgent care today because she was still coughing and wheezing.

Dr. mentioned she has another ear infection. Different ear by the way than the one she had less than 2 weeks ago.

Did a chest x-ray.

Paige has pneumonia.

Slight fever.

Sent us home with Augmentin (sp?) for the ear, steroids and albuteral via a nebulizer for the lungs.

Neb might be helping with the wheezing but it hasn't helped her cough at all.

She's miserable.

I'm miserable.

Mike is probably miserable but I don't know because he's working....he's probably miserable.

I put her to bed.

She coughed...coughed...coughed...cried.

I checked on her to see the NG tube was out of her nose (yes, out of her stomach, esophagus, and nose). The food pump was milking the bed.

I'm home alone.

I called my parents and they came out to give me a hand while I removed the tegaderm from her face, took apart the food pump etc.

I had the option at that time of re-inserting the tube.

F*** that.

If she continues to wheeze or if her fever gets worse, we've been told to go to the ER.

I'm going to "sleep" on her bedroom floor tonight.

I guess on the plus side we get a whole day with no NG tube in her nose and pinned to her shirt.

But she has pneumonia....

And the tube WILL need to be re-inserted tomorrow night....
