Well....we have a winner....er....winners to the first paigesuponpages contest. Since I didn't get nearly the number of votes I had anticipated (especially after waving truffles in your faces) I decided to award prizes to the two guesses that were the closest to the actual amount. The contest idea was not one of my own, it was stolen from several of my friends in the blogosphere. I thought it was fun and will do another one soon!
The closest guess was submitted by Mike's sister, Auntie Kristi!
The next closest guess came from my college roomie and good good friend, Jennie Hohnstadt!
I'm happy to say that most of you WAY over guessed.....but like I mentioned in the previous post...we have yet to see what 2 ER visits and a week long stay in the hospital will cost....

So? What was the total? I'm really glad that most of us overshot it. :)
Total is around 10,000 right now. Big ticket items were the echo and the ambulance (each was between 2 & 3 thousand a piece). Surgery and Hospital bills could come rolling in anytime.....

It's unfortunate that my high guess had to be the amount you guys owe. It's too bad my winning guess wasn't really the amount of a huge windfall you were going to get! Glad Paige is out of the hospital - she was so cute the other night when we stopped by to visit!
Well, congratulations none the less! ALSO, we (thankfully) will not be responsible for the total amount. The majority of it is covered through Paigey's health insurance....We are bracing ourselves for the portion we are responsible for from her hospital stay...not to mention being killed by so many co-pays, prescriptions and zillion dollar milk supplements that I spilled an entire can of today thank you very much....
