I've spent the last several hours since Paigey has been in bed sorting through all the "health" paperwork we've accumulated lately. When everything was finally labeled and sorted I got kind of curious....what exactly has the last two months cost us, fiscally speaking...and by "us" I guess I mean us personally, our insurance company, the American people, whoever....

so....

I grabbed a calculator and just stared adding up all the dollar amounts on all the paperwork that we have collected regarding Paige's health/non-health status from April 5th to June 30th. The items included in the total are:

• a smattering of co-pay receipts for clinic visits, not all, but many of them...


• a few different prescriptions that had been filled


• the total cost of the ambulance that took Paige from Unity to Amplatz Children's Hospital


• Pediatric home service delivery of food pump, food, and supplies


• Several specialty clinic visits


• Several lab appointments


• Appointment for NG tube training, placement, and X-ray


• Echo cardiogram


• "Sweat Test"


• Urgent care visit including chest X-ray

This total does NOT INCLUDE:

• Cost of Parking at the U of M


• Paige's biopsy
  


• Any costs from our ER visit to U of M
  


• Any costs from our ER visit to Unity (besides ambulance)


• Any costs racked up during 4 day stay at Children's

So.....
