What!? A medical appointment that WON'T cost us a small fortune?
So, part of the "plan" mentioned in the previous post is to take Paige into the clinic once or twice a week to have her weighed...at the same time...under the same conditions...on the same scale...
We had been weighing her at home...at the same time...under the same conditions....on the same scale...and have seen significant improvement (18 lbs 9 oz the day the tube went in and 20 lbs 2 oz yesterday!!)
However,
Loading her into the car, strapping her into the car seat, driving from our home in Coon Rapids to the clinic in Andover, getting out of the car, waiting in line to check in, waiting in the lobby full of other peoples sick kids, getting called back by the ancillary nurse, un-taping Paige's tube from her shirt, taking off all her clothes, having her sit on a scale for 5 seconds, redressing her, re-taping the tube, faxing the information over, walking back through the lobby of sick kids and toys that Paige will inevitably want to play with, loading back into the car, strapping her into the car seat, and driving from the clinic in Andover back to our home in Coon Rapids....twice a week.... is more reliable.
Have I mentioned that Paige loathes her (still rear facing at almost 2 years old) car seat and whines or screams during any and all car rides?
Silver lining: Because Paige will only be seeing the Ancillary nurse, these standing twice a week appointments will NOT require a co-pay, Yippee!
