A few more details for Friday
Forgive us if the information in our last several posts is...well....too much information. I'm a terrible judge of knowing what people really want to know when they ask "hows it going?". If anything, I like having as much information posted as possible. It gives me a chance to process the things the doctors have told us AND keep a record of them. Not going to lie, my memory could use a boost these days. I was arguing with Mike the other night and in the middle of it neither of us could really remember what Mike "allegedly" did or didn't say to instigate it...so we argued about that for a while. :)
I just got off the phone with Athena. She gave us a better idea about what to expect on Friday.
- Check in at 5:40 am. Sit around and talk to people until 7:40am (Dr. Sudel, anesthesiologist etc)
- Paige will need an IV...we might be able to talk them in to doing that after she is "out"...
- The actual biopsy will take about 45 minutes.
- After the surgery she heads to post-op for about an hour. Not sure if we'll be able to be with her at that time or not....I hope so :(
- We will touch base with Dr. Sudel after post-op stay is complete and head out to be discharged.
- Pain? Athena says it ranges from kids who don't seem to mind at all to kids with a bad sore throat. Tylenol is all she should need afterwards.
- Other side effects to expect? It all depends on what drugs they give her...the anesthesiologist will tell us more on Friday.

***UPDATE to my last post. The score is now Kirby 6 Carpet 0. She's lucky so is so adorable!***

I like that you put so much info in your posts. I'm not so much a phone person and my memory... well, it might be as good as yours but maybe not! Keep it up, it's good to hear all of the news.
(There might be a few topics on our blog that are TMI too, but how else am I going to record this stuff for Katie's enjoyment/embarrassment when she's older?) :)
