Paige has a diagnosis!

Well, Paige's labs came back today and they we're positive for Influenza A. This "bug" likely caused her ear infection, wheezing, bronchial spasms, vomiting, and general respiratory distress. The only thing about her treatment that changes now is 5 days of tamiflu...and we aren't allowed to leave the room without a mask....and no one will come in without a mask...and there is a warning on our door...and a woman from infectious disease control keeps hovering around...actually, she had some additional tests done and she's being treated as a probable case of...some kind of flu....what was it?.....huh....it was on the tip of my tongue....

Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts! No word on when we'll be home...no time soon though. Paige still needs oxygen most of the day and night to keep her stats healthy. Retractions are not letting up and neb treatments are kind of hit or miss with their effectiveness. She's sleeping right now much more peacefully than she has been able too. We're hoping for a much quieter night tonight, Mike stayed with us just in case. ALSO: New contact info:

Hey guys!
Just wanted to say hey, and that everyone at work is worried about the little one. We wish you the best and hope she feels better sooner than later!

Mike & Jenny,

Just want you to know that we are following your blog about Paige and praying for that sweet little girl and for the two of you. I can't imagine how exhausting all this has been in the past few weeks for you. Just want you to know we care and hope she gets out of the hospital sooner rather than later,

Love, Uncle Mark and Aunt Colleen
