Update Monday afternoon

Just a super quick update.

Paige had a really sucky night but as of about noon today has perked up a bit. Her nose and lips are not as blue. The nurse lowered her oxygen and the doctor here has ordered her albuterol nebs for every three hours instead of four.

She had a bath (thanks nurse Jessica) and splashed and played a bit.

Bunny had a bath too. He got a fair amount of vomit on him overnight. I had a crazy mom compulsion to get him washed and dried for her. I scrubbed him with hand soap in the ladies room, rung him out, and tossed him in the family lounge dryer. He looks (and smells) much better!

She has had some juice and a little food.

Her cough is more productive too.

The biggest news is that her labs came back as positive for influenza A. She was given some tamiflu and all of her other treatment is continuing as it has been (oxygen, antibiotics, steroids, rest, albuterol, cuddling...)

We can have visitors, but....you'll have to wear a mask, don't come if you are sick...have little kids at home...pregnant....it might just be easiest to see you all when we are home.

Mike goes home at night and can update then...I'll try to update when I can too.
